The nightmarish counterpart of Foxy the Pirate, Nightmare Foxy is similarly a slightly larger, more tattered version of the familiar fox. Like the other nightmare animatronics, Nightmare Chica is depicted as a cruel, ferocious animatronic who desires nothing more than to harm her victims. The nightmarish incarnation of Chica the Chicken, if you thought her yellow feathers and orange beak made her sort of cute before, think again! Nightmare Chica appears shredded from head to toe, and has mismatched eyes alongside monstrous claws and teeth.
Like the rest of the nightmares, Nightmare Bonnie is depicted as a cruel and menacingly animatronic who desires nothing more than to harm his victims, making him the complete opposite of his original persona, Bonnie. His red bow tie is just about the only part of him that is not in tatters. The nightmarish incarnation of Bonnie the Rabbit, still a large, bluish-purple rabbit, but some of his features, such as his teeth and claws, appear to be exaggerated. The Freddles however, are shown to be more mischievous and shy, in contrast to their master-of-sorts. He is also occasionally somewhat poetic in his speech. He speaks using a low-pitched, monotonous, gravelly, robotic voice. As with other nightmares, his put-downs tend to be rather sardonic in nature. Like the other nightmares, Nightmare Freddy has no qualms about tormenting his victims with his metallic hands and enjoys mocking them when given the opportunity, as seen in Ultimate Custom Night. There are also three miniature animatronics, called "Freddles", attached to his body.Ĭold-hearted and malicious, The replica of Nightmare Freddy created by Cassidy in Ultimate Custom Night appears as a warped, twisted version of the original Freddy's persona. The nightmarish incarnation of Freddy Fazbear, he's still the brown bear we've come to know and fear, just a lot more tattered and torn than ever before, and with a monstrous jaw to boot. The endoskeletons also all have five fingers, similar to the springlock suits, funtime animatronics, and rockstar animatronics. There are also out-of-place long, sharp teeth on each of the nightmares' jaws, rendering it seemingly impossible for the nightmare animatronics to close their mouths. There endoskeletons seem mostly the same from previous games, except for one strange difference of seemingly detachable razor-sharp claws on each metal finger. Although built purely to kill whomsoever Afton tells them to, they have been known to lash out violently whenever provoked.
In this case, they are all subservient purely to their creator, William Afton, but have also exhibited relentlessness, when chasing their victims, and ruthlessness, when killing them. They seem to have shared personality traits with the Twisted Animatronics. Similar to the pre-rebuilt incarnations of the originals, their behavioral function is that of a sadistic, feral beast, and they can use their gnarly claws and teeth to kill their pursued victims. The nightmare animatronics are nightmarish versions of Fazbear Entertainment's animatronics, which as the name implies haunts the nightmares of those scared of the animatronics. Their endoskeleton heads look suspiciously similar to that of a human skull, with a line of indentations down their forehead.

Most of the nightmare animatronics are featured with a deteriorated appearance with a big series of rips and holes all over, sporting a total of ten fingers with spike-like claws/nails, an excessive amount of long dangerously sharp teeth (found in both the structure of the animatronics and the endoskeletons), and small metallic eyes. Alongside with the twisted animatronics from the novel trilogy's universe, the nightmare animatronics appear as the most menacing out of all animatronic classes.
